STP Classes Continue to Grow
Since 1976, more than 150,000 people have participated in the construction industry's premiere education course -
the Supervisory Training Program (STP). Developed by AGC, STP was designed to meet the continuing educational needs
of the construction industry supervisor, and those seeking to become Supervisors or Project Managers. As the industry
and the role of the construction supervisor adjust to new technology, and growing demands, so does this unique program.
STP offers two overview courses and
nine classes that focus on the knowledge
and skills every supervisor needs to be
an effective manager of people, time,
equipment and materials. Every class of
STP is activity-based, with discussions,
case-histories, problems and exercises.
Participants draw upon their field experiences
and learn by interaction with others
from all areas of the construction industry,
STP courses offer practical relevant,
time-proven ideas and skills that can
help contractors increase their performance
and cost effectiveness.
The AGC of America "Supervisory Training
Program," one of the most acclaimed
programs of its kind in the world,
is a featured series of programs training
the construction leaders of tomorrow.
Involving over 250 hours of classroom
instruction, the course takes students
through nine separate units, combined
to provide the most comprehensive supervisory
training program available in the world.
STP is available "on-line",
so no job-time is lost.
